Show MR DYER RESIGNS I I I i Aii Opening Made for Some Patriotic Pa-triotic American REASON GIVEN ftM TOO BUSYt Who Among the Patriots Will Pluck the PIunfA Burning Question With Many Reformers An important document will be filed today to-day with Clerk Bache of the supreme court one that will cause considerable comment among the citizens of Salt Lake The paper aforesaid is the resignation of Frank H Dyer a receiver of the Church of Jesus Christ of LatterdaySaints Why it was done noorfo but Mr Dyer and his attorney knowsf But there is i a whole lot of thinking done I doneMr Mr Dyer was seen yesterday afternoon regarding the matter said he 1 have resigned re-signed oral least my resignation is in the hands of my attorney Mr Parley L Williams liams who i he has not already filed it will do so tomorrow My reasons for this action are simple and purely personal I have not time to devote to the duties of the position My other business demands de-mands ay constant attention and this receivership maters a constant drag It does not pay me sufficiently t devote my entire attention to it and I have other matters which I cannot neglect without great pecuniary loss It is a position not desirable by any means and the person holding it is open to much adverse criticism criti-cism I have tried while holding it to do my duty conscientiously and be fair with all parties I think I have made few mistakes mis-takes and if any they were of the head and not of the heart I resign as have said simply to rid myself of acumbersome bur den one which 1 do not Wish to carry and I hopemy successor will labor as earnestly asl have tried to adjudicate everything in a fair and honest manner That is all I have to concerning the question and is in substance what mywritten resignation will contain Inquiry at the office of the clerk of the supreme court at 6 oclock developed the factthat Mr Williams who was undoubtedly undoubt-edly excited over theelection had not filed the resignation Itwill be placed on record today The position of receiver will therefore be waiting today Who will get the plum for it surely is oneremains to be seen During Mr Dyers incumbency he has made about 30000 out of it and there are many more people who will clutch at it On Saturday last when Judge Rosbor ough was deposed T R Jones was appointed ap-pointed examiner of the receivers accounts Yesterday morning Mr Jones arose with the lark and striding down to the Wasatch building informed tho judges that he could not accept on account of his business engagements I en-gagements |
