Show A Diamond Necklace Lost and Found OMAHA Neb Dec 23Special telegram to the HERALD IComing I in from the weston west-on a Burlington train yesterday afternoon was Mrs F H Holsheimer of Salt Lake Half an hour before arriving in the city she entered the ladies toilet room and while washing off the dust of travel laid a diamond necklace valued at 1000 on the stand and in leaving she forgot to take it with her Just efore reaching the city she missed the necklace but in returning to the toilet room was unable to find it Sho spoke to the trainmen but they could not find it and so when she reached Omaha she notified Officer Cook of the Union Depot squad A search was at once instituted insti-tuted and the missing necklace was found lying in plain sight on the trucks beneath be-neath the toilet room and retained there only by its own weight There is a strainer in the wash bowl so that it would have been utterly impossible for the necklace to have passed through it and the necklace was found on the trucks two feet from the point where it would have lallen had it passed tnrouch the bowl The supposition is that some one stole It and then fearing detection placed it or the trucks to make It appear as if the necklace had fallen there Mrs Holsheemer went on her way last exening rejoicing that her carelessness had make no more trouble |
