The Race Problem in Mississippi JACKSON Miss Oct 20The supplemental supple-mental report of the legislative committee relating to the state boundaries was taken up for consideration this morning The second and last section thereof reads as follows The legislature shall have power to consent con-sent to the acquisition of additional terri torj by this state and to make the same apart a-part thereof the preation of another state or territory to be formed in whole or part out of a portion of this state whenever the consent of the Congress of the United States shall be given thereto And the legislature may solve disputed boundaries between this state and its conterminous states whenever such disputes arise This Is regarded by the delegates from the black counties as an intimation that the white counties may at some future time make an attempt secede from the black counties and leave them to struggle alone with the race problem
