POLICE QUARRELS More Demonstrations on the Salt Lake Force The demoralization in the police force was again strikingly evident yesterday Just below the Utah National corner a big I crowd had congregated in front of a show window An office stepped up and attempted at-tempted to clear a passage way through the crowd but when ho saw what arrested their attention he forgot his duties and became be-came one of tho most ardent gazers A second officer went to the scene and he too lost himself amid the gazing throng Finally Fin-ally the new sergeant happened along seeing see-ing the two beats vacant ho ordered an investigation and the culprits were brought bet ore him I You were off your beat this afternoon said the sergeant sternly Yes sir You were with a crowd in front of a show window Yes sir Whoso window was lU I HH Young Co the Main street jewelers jew-elers Hum 1 Well under the circumstances perhaps it was excusable but dont let it occur again
