Show THE ELECTIONS The Republicans Have the Two Dakotas Solid ST PAUL Oct 2Returns from North Dakota show that Miller Republican candidate can-didate for governor received GoO more All the returns votes than Roach Democrat turns yet received indicate that the vote for Congressman drew out at least 2000 ore votes making the majority for H C Haneborough for Congress 7000 or more The returns are sufficient to indicate that the result has been received from twenty six of thirtyone legislative distrtcts in the state There are twenty Republican five Democratic and one Independent Republican I Repub-lican Senators and fortytwo Republican and Democratic representatives Of the new district judges the Republicans elected three and the Democrats three The election of officers and Congressmen Congress-men in South Dakota cut a rather small figure the vote being acknowleged to be onesided The contest for the location loca-tion of the capital overshadowed all else Later in the afternoon the first vote came from the Black hills region which is thought t hold tne balance of power and of it was so overwhelmingly in favor Pierre that it seems but right the residents resi-dents of that city should continue the jollification fication which was started this morning tlatol |
