Show The Twelfth Ward The Peoples Twelfth Political club held an interesting session last evening John G Midgley was the speaker of the evening The gentleman traced the history of the Peoples party showing that the part had been conservative economical economi-cal and honest No party had ever made so brilliant a record No attempt had ever been made by them to deprive any individual vidual of his constitutional rights The peculiarities of any people or the unusual methods of pursuing happiness should not deprive them of any natural rights as citizens citi-zens so long as they do not infringe upon the rights of others No charge of disloyalty dis-loyalty or lack of patriotism could in the light of reason be made against the founders found-ers of Utah Ihere were honest and capable men in the Liberal party but they were under the lash of a corrupt ring whose ultimate aim was the entire political enslavement of every member of the Mormon Mor-mon church ThQ speaker was warmly applauded ap-plauded Gee C Wilson made a short but earnest and enthusiastic address Miss Pauline Williams favored the club with some most excellent music An excellent programme was read for next Tuesday evening One hundred torches have beensecured which will bring out in the Twelfth ward marching club every voter of the Peoples part |
