Show The Sixteenth Ward Club There was a wellattended and enthu s astie meeting of the Sixteenth ward Peoples club last evening The exer cises opened with the Red White and Blue by the glee club after which Hon Heber J Grant delivered a address ad-dress which was received with lou applause ap-plause Then followed a recitation Deaths Dcom by Mrs Hinliug and Mr Andrew Jensen delivered a spirited I speech on the situation and showing the necessity of the people performing their political duty at thisitime Dr McKee the jovial veterinarian now apppeared on the scene and being in his happiest mood entertained en-tertained the audience with a characteris istic speech in which he made some telling points against the carpetbag fraternity in general and the local organization with the rip sack badge in particular The Doctor sent everybody home in good hu iJTr The next club meeting will be held on Tuesday evening |
