| Show That Street Editors Herald SALT LAKE CITY Aug 4 JS4 In Prldayd HERALD a local appeared ap-peared headed Not this Season stating that a minion of the Fire department had canvassed for means to pay expenses of sprinkling the 1 streets from THE HHLALD Block to the Utah Nevada depot and only 1 S12 had been promised but I am reliably re-liably informed that a number of residents on said street were not asKed to contribute although had they beeneoliclted they would have done so and I would suggest anothe canvass It wa fully expected that the as portion that you made that the Utah Sc Nevada Railroad people had refused re-fused to donate anything although the Street Car Co offered to pay 4 par week would have been denied In Saturday mornings HERALD but it not having been it can only be taken for granted that it must be I true It is a matter of surprise that they being the ones most interested should refuse to assist in what costs BO little and would add so much to the comfort of their passengers as well as partially repaying the residents resi-dents on said street for vhe annoyance annoy-ance ciused by the dust caused by the te ma going to and from their depots C |
