PAUL HANSEN A Hight With The Vikings By SYLVIA FORD Viewmont High School is preparing an evening full of fun and excitement as they welcome incoming sophomores and their parents from Centerville Jr. and Bountiful Jr. High at "A Night with the Vikings" on Jan. 19. THE FUTURE class of '82 will be entertained by the Viking Jazz Ensemble, madrigal choir and drama department, which will be performing a scene from the comedy "Harvey." Former student and cheerleader, Jim Goforth will interview Superman Super-man and sophomore Rob Blood will play ragtime piano. Kim Nelson, former All-American All-American and now third baseman for the Minnesota Twins farm league, will talk to the students about his experiences at Viewmont and there will be a special guest appearance by an actor from the film "Take Down." STUDENTBODY president, Paul Hansen, and Principal Alman Flake, will be there to welcome the students and their parents. After the program, refreshments refresh-ments will be served and all those attending will be guests at the Viewmont High vs. Sky View High basketball game. DOORS OF the auditorium will open at 5:30 p.m. and the Jazz Ensemble will begin performing at 5:45 p.m. |
