Show Bank Mames fifeers By GARY R. BLODGETT BOUNTIFUL M.H. (Woody) Atwood has been appointed president of Utah Bank and Trust, it was announced this week by Frank B. Newman, chairman of the bank's board of directors. HE ALSO announced that David L. Taylor was appointed senior vice president presi-dent and manager of the Salt Lake-area offices and will be made a member of the bank's board of directors. In other appointments. Lloyd Moon was named secretary sec-retary of the bank and senior vice president and cashier: and Claude R. Snow was appointed senior vice president presi-dent and voting member of the loan and executive committee. IN MAKING the announcement, announce-ment, Mr. Newman stated that "all indications point to a good year for the bank, and that they are prepared to meet the competitive com-petitive pressures that the new hank act has generated. I believe be-lieve that banks will remain the financial bulwarks of the communities com-munities that they serve." Mr. Atwood has been a member of the bank's board of directors since its organization in 1 963 and was one of the original ori-ginal incorporators. HIS BANKING career began be-gan in I947. He was first with the Salt Lake City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, where he worked for 12 years including fives years as a bank examiner for the Fed. He has been a credit cre-dit examiner at Walker Bank & Trust Co. and was also an officer at the former Beehive State Bank for ten years. Mr. Atwood has been active in the American Institute of Banking, is currently a director direc-tor of the Robert Morris Associates Asso-ciates and attended the University Uni-versity of Utah. HE IS married to the former Gloria Sinclair and has two teenage children, Paul and Shauna. f ft MW "-ft '311 1 ' : j3 'y.i DAVID TAYLOR Mr. Taylor joined Utah Bank and Trust in 1965 and has worked in Bountiful and Salt Lake City. He is former vice president and manager of the Salt Lake Office. HE GRADUATED from the University of Utah with a bachelor of science degree in . banking and finance in 1962 and received his MBA degree in 1964. He has been active in community affairs as past president of the Bountiful Kiwanis Club and is presently serving as chairman of the Davis County Housing Au- ' f &, " .llf "Mm WaaSai&A hum fcMaJ LLOYD MOON thority. Mr. Moon was born and raised in Davis County and attended the University of Utah. He has been in the banking bank-ing business for 25 vears and has been affiliated with Utah Bank and Trust since 1966. For the past four years he has been in charge of operations for all four branches of Utah Bank and Trust. Mr. Snow has been in the banking business for 19 years, joining Utah Bank and Trust in September 1973. He graduated from BYU in 1961 with a degree de-gree in business management. AVLUi CLAUDE SNOW |
