Indian summer continues to bring fair weather to the area, with Thanksgiving just around the comer The skiers are a bit nervous about the lack of snow, but those of us vho enjoy en-joy a late fall, have had opportunities op-portunities for continuous trips into the mountains, ' raking the falling leaves in pleasant warm weather, and continuing outdoor activities without reason of weather. Pat and LeGrande Blackley and two children Cheryl Ann and Cameron, made their last trip of the fall season to Vallejo, Calif, this weekend to compete in the Regional Kart Races. The Blackley's have been avid fans for many years, with both LeGrande - and Pat participating in the competition. Now Cameron is following in his parents' footsteps, foot-steps, and with another year's experience, will compete in the same weight class as his mother. Racing has become a family affair, and one enjoyed by all concerned. Charles Cemy, who is constantly on the job for Woods Cross City, has been missed the past two weeks, as . he participated in Air Guard duty in Overton, Nev. Sincere get well wishes are extended to Mrs. June Ellis. After being confined to her bed for several weeks, she was transferred to Lakeview Hospital for surgery involving skin grafts to the leg which has caused so much concern since her burn and recent infection. in-fection. She hopes to be home this week, and expected recovery is to extend for another two weeks. Mrs. Ellis is a teacher at Stoker Elementary and is anxious to join her students and daily routine. The neighbors at the south-end south-end of Cahoon Acres were hosts for a party on Monday evening to honor Mari Lynn Anderson prior to her departure depar-ture for an LDS Mission Twenty-four were on hand for a pot luck supper and lots of visiting and reminiscing with the guest of honor and her family. Marc Phillips, a former resident of Cahoon Acres visited with old friends and neighbors while visiting with his mother and sister in Salt Lake City. Marc has been involved in-volved in the Alaska pipeline project and presently is attending at-tending school in Washington State for additional training for that job. His brief vacation included the deer and pheasant hunt in the area and family get-to-gethers. Miss Irene Alfred visited with her family this past weekend. She has just completed her student teaching in Delta, with graduation from Brigham Young due in December following the end of this semester. Irene's sister Annette, An-nette, and a brother Joe are both continuing their education educa-tion at Utah State in Logan. On Thursday evening many from the area enjoyed the Choral Concert held at View-mont View-mont High School.
