Show Sworn Meeti The fourth annual Region II High School Women's Swimming Swim-ming Meet was held Thursday at Weber State College, with the three area high schools, Bountiful, Viewmont and Woods Cross all participating. participat-ing. The teams have been conducting daily work outs at the local pools, preparing for this event, with weekly dual meets in addition to inter-squad inter-squad competition. THE TOP three winners of the 11 events will be qualified to compete in the state meet, to be held Saturday, Nov. 20 at the University of Utah Na-tatorium. Na-tatorium. WOODS CROSS hopefuls are Linda Jones, ranked first in 100 breastroke and second in 100 butterfly. Also from Woods Cross is LaRene Mitchell, rated first in 100 freestyle and 200 individual medley. Viewmont's team consists mainly of sophomores and are in the building process, but have high hopes for Nancy Marchant, rated third in the 500 yard freestyle and Shauna Holbrook, third in 100 breastroke. breas-troke. Karen Eckman is a strong contender in the diving division as is Brenda Eggett from Bountiful. STATE TITLE has been held for the past two years by East High School of Salt Lake City, but according to Viewmont's View-mont's coach, Marsha Lim-burg, Lim-burg, the tide may turn with . the strong contenders from Bountiful or Ogden to challenge the present champions, cham-pions, v Miss Limburg is chairman of the State High School Women's Swimming Committee Com-mittee and is conducting the Region II meet at Weber and coordinating the state meet as well.
