Show Got Rovers Rccdy Fc? D:vis County Fair The Flower Show at the Davis County Fair will be an outstanding display of flowers grown by local citizens of Davis County. The arrangements made by the children and adults are always of special interest to the public. EVERYONE who raises garden flowers should plan to enter the horticulture division. Even though the weather has not been the best for flowers, there should be plenty of fine blooms to exhibit. If you have any specimens or large numbers of beautiful flowers, be sure to exhibit them at the fair. Anyone entering flowers or arrangements should be sure to read the instructions in the fair book. Flowers should be conditioned before bringing them to the show, cutting them in the late evening or early morning and placing them in tepid water will condition the bloom so that it will hold up longer after being placed in the show. LEAVES should be clean and no bugs or bug eaten leaves or petals should be brought in for display. Just be sure to condition your blooms so they are at their best for display. Anyone entering flowers should have raised them in their own garden. However, flowers in arrangements may be grown by other gardeners. GLENNA Leavitt, chairman of the show is asking that more exhibitors plan to show flowers and make arrangements this year. With so many divisions, there is a place for all ages of children to enter this show. Sections for men and women or any adults are also on the schedule.
