Show SssCiw $53,(010 . fx. fi L J MACK WATKINS ' W. Mack Watkins recently accepted the responsibility of Campaign Chairman for the 1976 United Way of Davis County Campaign. At a recent United Way Executive Committee Com-mittee meeting, Mr. Watkins reported that the 1976 Campaign Cam-paign Goal would be $53,000, an increase of $5,820 over that raised last year. MR. Watkins has been involved in-volved in the community as an Institutional Representative, Representa-tive, Boy Scouts of America; Member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, United Way; Member of the Tabernacle Choir. He is currently seeking a position on the State School Board, from Davis County. A 1960 graduate of the University of Utah, Mr. Watkins is Senior Securities Representative for Kidder Peabody Co. Inc. He is married to the former Julie Simmons. They are tne parents of five children. He is a former resident of Layton, until moving to Kaysville last fall. Mr. Watkins indicated that the United Way in Davis County has been organized for two years. More than 60 United Unit-ed Way Member Agencies are providing services to Davis County residents. The Campaign will officially of-ficially kickoff Tuesday September Sep-tember 28, 1976 at a special luncheon at Oakridge Country Club. He stated that more than one hundred volunteer workers will be helping with this fall's campaign effort. HE ALSO said that the United Way works for all of us. It is a people helping people program. Last year thousands of people were provided services by agencies funded by the United Way. Real people with real problems; young, old, sick and handicapped people . . . all of them are glad when the citizens of the community support them by contributing to the United Way. , i |
