Show Returns From Boys Nation Mark Bettilion has returned from Washington D.C. where he attended Boys Nation, sponsored by the National American Legion organization. organiza-tion. THERE WERE 297 delegates from all over the nation in attendance. The young people were honored in the dormitory at George Washington University. The young people held a mock election, nominated presidents, senators and representatives and carried on all the business of the elections. elec-tions. THEY had committee meetings and met many young people from all over the United States. Mark states that all he met were very outstanding. out-standing. The delegates toured historical his-torical areas in Washington and visited Utah congressmen and representatives. They visited the White House and met President Ford. SENATOR Jake Gam gave each of the Utah boys a book and took tnem on a tour of the senate building as well as entertained them for lunch. Boys Nation is usually held for seven days but this year due to the bicentennial it was held for 18 days. They were entertained in many ways and taken on tours which made their stay very interesting and educational. MARK IS a senior student at Bountiful High School and hopes to study law in college.
