Born at Dlro-juo, Wis., September C, 1871, he came to Utah with his parents vrnn a child. When a young man he entered the employ of the 1 Tribune as a typesetter, where he served hi apprenticeship. When the war with Spain broke out young NeUon enlisted 00 a member mem-ber of Utah, battery A and went to j the Philippines, where he errd wdth I distinction until the return of th f Utah batteries. Upon his return he t was presented with a gold medal by the members of the Typographical union of this city. Later he went to New Orleans, where he was employed as a llnotypo operator on the Item of that city. He was taken 111 about three days ago. but the lllnefltj was not considered consid-ered serious until late last night, when he suddenly became worse and died this morning. The body will be brought to this city for interment |
