It was announced from the city health board that the emergency hospital in the basement of the Congregational church would not be abandoned aban-doned until the Spanish influenza situa-tionsas situa-tionsas fully under control. The reports received by the health board indicates that there is slight improvement in the influenza situation in Ogden today. to-day. The day's report shows forty-four new cases and two deaths. Inspector George Shorten of the health department went to Salt Lake today to confer with Dr. Beatty of the state health board regarding the time for the lifting of the ban closing public places. The deaths today were Am it a, Violet McCov, 16 months of age, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude S. McCoy, 2957 Lincoln Lin-coln avenue, who died at 1 o'clock this morning. The body will be sent to North Platte, Neb., for burial. D. J. Donovan, 72 years of age, died at the local hospital at 1:80 o'clock this morning after a week's illness. He is I survived by his wife, two sons and five daughters. The funeral arrangements will be announced later. |
