Show FUNDS SOUGHT FOR FIGHT ON INFLUENZA Special to The Tribune. POCATELLO, Idaho, Nov. 8. The Influenza In-fluenza situation in this city has reached a point where Mayor A. B. Bear has asked the citizens to subscribe to a $5000 fund to be used in caring for the numerous numer-ous victims who are suffering with the disease. The money will be disbursed by the civilian relief committee. The captains of the various districts In the city who had charge of Liberty loan affairs recently will make a house-to-house canvass for funds. The city is also suffering from a shortage of nurses and the Red Cross has sent out ain urgent appeal to all women who understand anything any-thing about nursing to report for duty. The daily death rate has somewhat decreased de-creased and it is thought that the city has reached ;ho high point in the spread of the disease. |
