Show Hiss lla Cox And DeVere McAllister Wed tnTC,rman'iag0 f M'SS Ila COX to DeVere McAllister took place on Wednesday night in the St. George Temple, accord-ng accord-ng to announcements issued over the week-end. The bride is the eldest daughter of Dr. and Mrs W. C. Cox of this city a graduate of the Dixie junior college, col-lege, and active church worker among the younger set. The groom comes from Blanding and is a son of Mr .and Mrs. Richard McAllister, McAllis-ter, his father being a brother of Jos. W. McAllister and a native of St George but he has resided in Blanding many years where he follows the teaching profession. The couple met as students of the Dixie college where Mr. McAllister Mc-Allister came as a scholarship student stu-dent from the Monticello high school. Graduating from the Dixie junior college in 1937, he was awarded a scholarship to the U.S.A.C. where he is majoring in Agronomy, and will graduate next spring. His outstanding work in that department won him placement place-ment as one of Utah's representatives representa-tives on an extensive research tour of the midwest, eastern and New England states over the summer sum-mer months. Returning to Logan, he has been given a special position posi-tion in connection with the state experimental farm there. Following the marriage the couple will make their home in Logan for the ensuing year. |
