Show ! Funeral Services i Held for Samuel i R. Gubler of Ivins i Funeral services were held for 'Samuel R. Gubler on January 11 at 2 p.m. at Santa Clara. Bishop Vivian J. Frei presiding. Opening prayer was made by Jacob Frei. Musical numbers were offered by the choir and a quartet. j Speakers were: Theodore Graff, j Edward R. Frei, Arthur K. Hafen, Leo Reber, President W. O. Ben-tley Ben-tley and Bishop Vivian J. Frei. Many of the speakers stated I that they did not know of Mr. iGubler's sickness until they heard of his death and the need for living liv-ing the word of God was stressed by them. Tributes were paid to the character and ability of Mr. Gubler and his family, and they exhorted those present and the neighbors of the family to help them in their sorrow and to give advice and assistance to relieve the burden. In speaking of his character and the work that he had accomplished accom-plished the speakers declared that he stood for' right and was firm-against wrong. They stated that he was a splendid worker and had done much to promote the general welfare of the community com-munity in which he lived. The closing prayer was offered by Orval Hafen. Burial was in the Santa Clara cemetery and the grave was dedicated dedi-cated by Edward R. Frei. I |
