Show Washington Ciultlin Nollson ItIwrUir The Cotton Factory camp of the D.U.I'. met at the home of Mrs. Barbara .aimer Friday. Susan I'rishrcy, president of the organization, organi-zation, conducted the meeting. The lesson on "Utah and Her Neighbor States Receive Statehood", State-hood", was given by Mina Sandberg. Sand-berg. Refreshments were served. Co-hostesses with Mrs. Zahner were Mrs. William Tobler and Mrs. Frank Staheli. Mrs. W. O. Nisson was hostess hos-tess to the I.O.M. club Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Watson and family, who have been visiting visit-ing with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Neilson since the Christmas holidays, left Friday for their home in Conard, Mont. The Blue Bird primary class under the direction of their teacher, Mrs. Glen Tobler, entertained enter-tained their mother's Thursday evening at the home of Thelma Neilson. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Neilson and Mr. and Mrs. John Adams left Saturday for Los Angeles to spend their vacation. Itodney Neilson was a business visitor in Cedar City Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Knight of Delta called on relatives here Friday enroute to Boulder Dam. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Prisbrey left Sunday for Los Angeles. Mrs. Ruth Wittwer of Beaver visited here with relatives and friends on Monday and Tuesday. Marion Jolley, who has been seriously ill for the past 10 days at the McGregor hospital, is much improved at this writing. Our Sunday school was reorganized re-organized Sunday with Victor Iverson as superintendent. James Turner Jr. and Glen Tobler are assistants. Mr. and "Mrs. Grant Blackett arrived Wednesday from Spring-ville. Spring-ville. Mr. Blackett left Thursday for Los Angeles. Mrs. Blackett will remain here to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Iverson. Mr. and Mrs. Archie Tobler were Sunday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Neilson in St. George. One of our old pioneers, Hyrum Boggs. who has been ill for some time, is still in a weakened condition. con-dition. Funeral soV'ce was conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. for Ernest Prisbrey. who died at American Fork Training School, of pneumonia. pneu-monia. The service was under the direction of Archie Tobler, counselor. counse-lor. Calvin Hall and Haven Paxman w-ere the speakers and the prayers were offered by John Tanner and Benjamin R. Holland. Mrs. Lorna Worthen, John Schmutz, Grant Snow and Mr. Ashly of the Stake M.I.A. office, visited us in Tuesday night Mutual. Mu-tual. Their instructions were appreciated ap-preciated by all present. |
