Show DEATH CALLS SOX OP MR. AND MRS. ARCHIE D. WALLIS Death called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Archie D. Wallis at 9:30 Saturday night and took from them their nine-months old son, Douglas Smith. The child had been ill but a few days with hemorrhage and inflammation in-flammation of the bowels. Transfusions Transfus-ions of blood were made, and everything every-thing that a skilful physician and care and attention could do was done to thwart the angel of death, but without avail. Funeral services were held at the residence at 6 p. m. Sunday conducted conduct-ed by Bishop Frank G. Miles. The E. W. choir sang "I Need Thee Every Hour;" prayer was offered by Elder ;Jos. T. Atkin; choir sang, "Sometime, "Some-time, Somewhere." The speakers were Elders W. G. Hopkins, David H. Morris and Bishop Miles. Choir jsang "In The Sweet Bye and Bye." Benediction was pronounced by Elder George J. Webb, s The remains were laid to rest in ithe city cemetary, the grave being I dedicated by Elder John H. Schmutz. There was a very large attendance at the funeral and a profusion of Sbeautiful roses and other flowers, the grave being completely hidden by jthem. I Boy Scouts of Troop 1 acted as pall "bearers, as a mark of respect to the father, who has been active in Scout work. . |
