Show "V HUNT WATKINS buried here Final rites held for Hunt Watkins Final rites for Lloyd Hunt Watkins, 67 were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Vernal Mortuary. Ranee Searle presented a musical number. Prayer was given by Hugh Colton at the mortuary with the grave site dedicated by Delmer Lane. Interment was in the Vernal Memorial Park under the direction of the Vernal Mortuary. Pallbearers were Bob Boehmer, Jim Guinn, Don Allred, Woodey B., Rhett, Ranee and Randy Searle; Richard Peterson. Honorary pallbearers were N.J. Meagher, Jr., Bry Stringham, Fran Feltch, L.Y. Siddoway, Kay Lynn Bennett, Russell Cook, Clyde Watkins, Donald "Shorty" Hatch, Chuck Henderson and Clifford Massey. In lieu of flowers the family i requested that contributions be made to i the Primary Childrens Hospital, Hunt I Watkins Memorial Honor Program, 320 , 12th Ave. Salt Lake City, Utah, 84103. i Burial was with full military honors by the American Legion. 1 Lloyd Hunt Watkins died at his home ' of cancer October 12, 1979. He was born August 26, 1912 in Vernal to Edward Watkins and Clara Belle Stewart ' Watkins; married Mildred (Minnie) Hatch, August 15, 1937 in Vernal. Was a gambler, former owner and operator of the Shamrock Club in Vernal; veteran World War II, U.S. Navy; former member of the Elks Club of Rangely ; former member of the Junior Chamber i urt rvr,mKr nf Pnmmerce: for mer member of the Knife and Fork Club. Survivors are widow of Vernal; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Joy) Boehmer, two granddaughters, one great-granddaughter, great-granddaughter, all of Vernal; two brothers, LaVerle, Casper, Wyoming and Edwin Eugene of Vernal; one sister, Mrs. Bill (Blanche) Postma of Salt Lake City. |
