Show The Cache County Educational Institute met according to appointment in the Fourth Ward school house, Logan, on Saturday, October 7th, at 11 a.m. Prest. (President) Wm. (William) H. Apperley in the chair. Owing to the inclement weather, some of the members who were to take part in the program were not present; however, substitutes were procured and the time was fully occupied. A lively and cheerful spirit prevailed throughout the meeting, all taking an active and interesting part, not only in the exercises and criticisms but also discussing general questions on class exercises, school government, etc. which were brought before the Institute. This showed that the teachers of Cache County are energetic and united in their profession. - that of mentoring the students of a physical, moral and intellectual education in the young and tender minds entrusted in their care. A cordial invitation to our next monthly meeting is extended to all parties who are interested in educational matters in Cache County, when the following program will be presented. Lecture on "The True Relation Between Trustee and Teachers," by Seth Langton: Recitation, Nora Crockett; Grammar - Nouns in Apposition. Archie S. Geddes; Lecture on Vocal Music, S. F. White; Select Reading, Mary Reese, Question; "What Book Contains the Greatest Literary Merit?" to be answered by Mrs. Molen, Miss Carlyle and Mr. Jackson. A. S. Geddes, Secretary pro tem. |
