Show Sugar House Girl Wins High Honor Jerrilyn Clarkj of Sugar House was the recipient of one of the highest honors that can be awarded award-ed a girl fpr scholarship and activities ac-tivities at the University of Utah last week. The white letter-sweater, given to three girls each year by the Women's Athletic Association, was presented to Miss Clark at the annual banquet held at the Lion House in Salt Lake City. A gift of recognition of eight quarters of outstanding participation partici-pation in athletjcs and of high scholastic achievement, the sweaters sweat-ers bear a large red "U" on the left side, and are coveted prizes among campus momen. Miss Clark, known on the campus cam-pus as "Jerrie", is a senior at the University, and is studying speech and physical education with the intention of teaching. She has been active in "W A A" activities since her freshman year, being team manager during three auart- era and an offjeer in the Orchestra Orches-tra Club, dance group, for two years. She is also a member of Speech Arts. Jerrie is a graduate of Granite, High School, where she got her start In women's athletic organization organ-ization work. |
