Meredith of Pleasant Grove. """ " ' The marriage took place on Thursday, June 12, in a double-ring double-ring ceremony performed by Bishop Bish-op J. Y. Bearnson of the Fifth ward, in the Fourth ward church, the marriage being witnessed by immediate relatives and friends. Following their marriage, the newlyweds were honored with a reception in the Amusement hall. The bride was attired in an attractive at-tractive white satin wedding gown with lace yoke embroidered with seed pearls and braid. Her lace-edged lace-edged veil was fashioned to a Dutch crown of seed pearls. She carried a lovely bouquet of roses and carnations centered with an orchid. Attending the bride were Mrs. Ruth Hatfield, maid of honor, who wore pale yellow georgette over satin. Mrs. Jane Evans, Mrs. Lois Montague, Mrs. Belva Meredith, Mrs. Nortica Barker, and Mrs. La Ree West were bridesmaids and all were attired in pastel formals with corsages in corresponding colors. Little Joan Evans and Barbara Johnson were train bearers bear-ers and wore white net over satin. Jack Meredith performed best-man best-man duties for his brother. Also in the receiving line, in addition to the bridal party, were the parents of the bride and the groom. Ralph Meredith of Salt Lake City, was master of ceremonies cere-monies and announced the following follow-ing program: Solo, Betty Jean Averett; dance number, Joan Averett; vocal solo, Miss Valetta Fullmer, who also sang while the couple led out in the bridal waltz; Jean Averett and Catherine Ann Holley, dance; Jan-ette Jan-ette Llewellyn and Doris Hales, dance; Mrs. Iris Dibble and Mrs. Afton Barker, readings; Don and Blake Smith, a duet. In charge of the serving which was from a beautifully decorated table, were Mrs. Minnie Barker, Mrs. Zelma Barker, Mrs. Vivian Averett, Mrs. Nora Larsen, assisted assist-ed by Loretta and Ardith Giles, Carma Jean Barker and Leah Mae Averett. In the gift room were Mrs. La Vern Johnson, who was assisted by Audrey Jones and Jean and Jeanette Beardall. Shortly after their marriage, J the couple left on a honeymoon trip to the west coast. Upon their i return, they plan to make their home in Orem. |
