Dinner was served at one long table centered with cut flowers and with red tapers in crystal candelabra at either end. ILA CLYDE ENTERTAINS AT DINNER PARTY Miss 11a Clyde, who has been visiting here during the holidays, entertained a group of friends at dinner Thursday night. The long dining table was centered cen-tered with beautiful pink and white azalia and covers were laid for. PETERSONS ENTERTAIN GUESTS AT PARTY A delightful party of the week was that given by Mr. and Mrs. A. G. Peterson after the dance Tuesday night for a number of friends at their home. Games and social conversation, together with a deliicous supper, were enjoyed by the guests. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Weight, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Cherrington, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Child, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Long, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. PARANADA CLUB ENTERTAINED Paranada club members and guests were delightfully entertained enter-tained Thursday evening at the home of Miss Tonie Fox. A delicious buffet luncheon was served early in the evening from a long table centered with a poin-settia poin-settia and with pink tapers in crystal candelabra at either end. A beautiful linen cloth from Switzerland covered the table. Later in the evening progressive progres-sive miscellaneous games were played, with Teddy Thorpe, Nancy Miner, Mildred Larsen, Virginia Simkins, and Mary Miner winning prizes. Those present were Mary Boyer, Virginia Simkins, Teddy Thorpe, Fern Ostler, Laverne Singleton, Mary Miner, Harriet Strong, Nancy Nan-cy Miner, Beth Butler, Ina Pitcher, Pitch-er, Mildred Larsen, and Barbara Sanford, and the hostess. GIRLS ENJOY SKATING PARTY A skating party was enjoyed by a group of girls at Provo Thursday Thurs-day evening after which they met at the home of Miss Wilna Brown for a chili supper. The skaters were the Misses Louise Clyde, Cecelia Maycock, Luella Huntington, Lucille Oakley, Oak-ley, Marjorie , Simkins, Phyllis Bird, Veone Bird, and Wilna Brown. PARI PASSUE CLUB ENTERTAINED FRIDAY Mrs. Wm. Clyde was hostess to members of the Pari Passue club at her home Friday. Mrs. Mae Huntington gave a review re-view of the book, "Demon Daughter," Daugh-ter," by Honore Morrow, and luncheon was served in conclusion conclus-ion to ten members. FIREMEN'S AUXILIARY HOLDS MEETING Members of the Firemen's Auxiliary Aux-iliary met Tuesday evening at the Fire Hall, with Mrs. Eileen Bird, Marge Bird, and Susie Allen acting act-ing as hostesses. Luncheon was served first to fifteen members, after which a business meeting was held. The next meeting will be Monday, Mon-day, January 23. NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY PROVES ENTERTAINING A group of friends delightfully surprised Mrs. E. V. Crandall on New Year's Eve. Five hundred was played, with prizes going to W. W. Clyde and Mrs. H. M. Weight, after which a delicious pot luck luncheon was served. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Ken-neth Condie, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Weight, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Eg-gortsen, Eg-gortsen, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Baxter, Bax-ter, Dr. and Mrs. George Anderson", Ander-son", Mrs. Hannah Clyde, Mary Mendenhall, and Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Crandall. MILADY CLUB ENTERTAINED Milady club members were entertained en-tertained Thursday at the home of Florence Beardall. During the evening games were played and luncheon served to the following members and guests: Vivian Averett, Ellen Erd-mann, Erd-mann, Thelma Beardall, Delia Whitehead, of Springville, Isabell Miller and Mary Loyd of Spanish Span-ish Fork, and the hostess. The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Vivian Averett Aver-ett on Thursday, January 16. CURRENT STUDY CLUB HAS DINNER AT CHICKEN ROOST Monday evening members of the Current Study club were entertained en-tertained at dinner at the Chicken Chick-en Roost. After the dinner, they were entertained en-tertained at the home of Miss Mat-tie Mat-tie Davis in Provo. Alice Mecham gave two dance numbers and Mrs. Stella H. Oaks told of her trip to Europe. |
