Refreshments ivere served by Kay Christensen, Karen Weight, Carolyn Childs, Barbara Haymond, and Buny Atkinson. On the small serving tables were miniature ceramic automobiles filled with yellow sweet-peas and on each was a tiny streamer with the inscription, in-scription, "Just Married." An all-white revolving weding cake 3-tiered was arranged on a satin cloth with white candles and connecting yellow streamers. Pale yellow iris were arranged about the serving rooms and the rotunda of the church. Music for the evening was furnished fur-nished by a string trio composed of Jane Harrison, Anna Johnson and Elaine Jessee. Mrs. V. C. Mendenhall gave organ selections; Don Gottfredson, Bonnie Beardall, Ann Merie Fry and Mrs. Aileen Peterson gave vocal solos; Flora Fietkau, Janice Sargent and Edna Nielson, a vocal trio; Mrs. Blaine Wheeler and Mrs. Leonard Zobell gave a vocal duet; Eldon Soren-son Soren-son and daughter Carol Dawn gave musical numbers as did Betty Hoover & Louis Thorn. Mrs. Maurice Mau-rice Bird, Dr. Florence Jepperson Madsen and Jane Harrison gave piano numbers. After the reception, tha couple left for a honeymoon to Laguna Beach, Calif. They plan to return re-turn in the fall to enter the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young University as seniors. Jay is majoring in art and Carol in languages.- Making their home for the summer sum-mer at Alhambra, California, are newlyweds Mr. and Mrs. Jay Clair Colver, whose wedding and reception recep-tion was a highlight of social activity ac-tivity here the past week. The bride, formerly Miss Carol Jacobsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Jacobsen exchanged vows with Mr. Colver, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Gerrard of Alhambra, Al-hambra, Calif., on Wednesday, June 3, in the Salt Lake Temple, with Elder Harold B. Lee officiating. officiat-ing. Immediately after the ceremony, cere-mony, members of the bridal party were guests at a wedding breakfast given in Salt Lake City by parents of the groom. The newlyweds were honored at a reception the following evening in the Third-Ninth ward church, where many relatives and friends from Springville and out-of-town called to extend felicitations. For her wedding attire, the bride chose a beautiful Rosepoint lace gown fashioned with fited bodice and full skirt with a finely pleated pleat-ed nylon net ruffle at the bottom. A stand-up collar accented the neckline and the sleeves were long and pointed. Her veil of bride's illusion, il-lusion, was arranged from a tierra of seed-pearls and she carried an all-white bridal bouguet of gardenias, gar-denias, roses and lillies-of-the-val-ley. Her sister, Mrs. Wendell Winger Win-ger was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Merry Metcalf, Janet Robertson and Lillian San-ford. San-ford. They wore blue and yellow frosted organdy frocks with headbands head-bands of blue daisies and held sprays of daisies and glamellias tied with blue satin ribbon. Little Ann Jacobsen and Maudie Lynn Wilson, in soft blue nylon, were flower girls and held hoops of daisies. They wore crocheted gloves, glo-ves, gifts from the bride, when she returned from France. Wendell Winger was best man. Assisting with the reception of, guests also were parents of the bride and groom, Mrs. Jacobsen choosing a gown of powder blue with corsage of pink glamellias for her daughter's wedding and Mrs. Gerrard wearing an original Josefi model of sea foam green embroidered with pearls and her flowers were tiny green orchids worn on the wristband.
