' ,, - . - ""I '.i : - t. , V ' 1 ; " V ' . , The garden of the Mr. and Mrs. Harold Whiting home was the setting for a delightful wedding reception Friday even-ign even-ign of last week, honoring then-daughter then-daughter Harriet and Ron Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Clark of Lehi, who were married earlier in the day in the Salt Lake Temple. President Ray L. Christiansen performed the ceremony in the presence of immediate family members. The bride chose for her wedding wed-ding attire a full skirted floor-length floor-length nylon organza designed with bustle back and embroidered embroid-ered bodice with short shirred sleeves. Her veil of illusion was arranged to a crown of seed and oat pearls made by her mother in a design to correspond cor-respond to the lace in her dress. Her bridal bouquet was of white glamelias with cascading cas-cading stephanotis. Attending the bride as matron ma-tron of honor was her sister-in-law, Mrs. James Whiting. Bridesmaids were Elaine Erick-son, Erick-son, Mary Gay Hatch, Sharon Clark, sister of the groom and Phyllis Whiting, sister of the bride. They wore soft green gowns with accents of white and white gloves. Their flowers flow-ers were old-fashioned nosegays nose-gays of white baby mums centered cen-tered with pale green mums Best man was Ralph Gines, Jr. Others in the receiving line were: parents of the bride and groom, Mrs. Whiting choosing a light blue lace for the reception recep-tion and Mrs. Clark aqua cry-staline. cry-staline. Their corsages were of cinbodum orchids. Hostesses for the evening were Beulah Whiting, Maria Mrs. Ron Clark, the former Miss Harriet Whiting, who was married in Salt Lake Temple Friday, August i. Johnson and Zina Johnson. Bishop and Mrs. Verl Whiting and Mr. and Mrs. Gene Clark greeted guests and the guest book was in charge of Mrs. Ralph Gines, Jr. Ushers during the evening were James Whiting and Joe Diddy. In charge of the gifts were Lu Wallace and Elaine Michal-miss, Michal-miss, assisted by Patricia Whiting, Ronda and Judy Clark, gift bearers. In charge of serving was Mrs. Melvin Haymond. Sydna Whiting poured. Serving were Cyndy Hardy, Mary Haymond, Diane Barney, LuAnn Gustav-son, Gustav-son, Joan Parker, Karma Lynn and Pauline Jensen. Serving was from a buffet table centered with a beautiful beauti-ful 3-tiered wedding cake. The guests were seated at small tables in the Maria and Zina Johnson garden adjoining that of the Whitings. A white and green decorative motif was carried out effectively with dogwood, the state flower of Virginia and No. Carolina, where Harriet served her mission, mis-sion, used to center the small tables and other focal points. Baskets of white orchids also decorated the garden. After a wedding trip, the couple will be at home in Salt Lake City, where Ron will be an instructor at Granite high school. A graduate of the BYU, he has served two years in the army and has filled an LDS mission in Great Britain. Harriet also graduated from the BYU where she has been employed as librarian. She previously taught school at Tooele and filled an LDS mission mis-sion to the Central Atlantic States. |
