She was my support, sup-port, my comforter, my companion and my love. My sweetheart was born June 11, 1936. We began our eternal journey together on Dec. 20, 1958. We have been blessed with six children and 15 grandchildren. grand-children. We served six missions together, including includ-ing missions to Mongolia and New Zealand. Center Street in Springville, with a viewing view-ing before from 9:30 to Connie Talbot Mauglian Our cherished wife, mother and grandmother, grandmoth-er, Connie Mae Talbot Maughan, passed away on Feb. 12, 2008 at her daughter's home in Springville, Utah, of natural nat-ural causes. Connie was born to Frank Wall Talbot and Bertha Mae Engelke of Lewiston, Utah, on the Nov, 21, 1924 in Fairview, Idaho. She graduated from North Cache High School in 1942 and from the Budge Memorial Hospital Hos-pital three-year nursing program as a registered nurse. She joined the Cadet Ca-det Nurses' Corps during World War II. She married Webster Cooper Maughan on June 21, 1946, in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. During Dur-ing the early years of marriage, Connie and Webster lived in Wells-ville, Wells-ville, Utah, and Black-foot, Black-foot, Idaho, where she practiced nursing. Connie loved her work as a surgical, sur-gical, hospital and office nurse. In 1957 the family fam-ily moved to Preston, Idaho, where they made their home for the next 50 years. The final years of her life were happily spent living in Springville with her husband at the home of their daughter, Diana Guinn. Connie was known for her influence in the community. She organized orga-nized the Pink Ladies, was active in the Ladies Golf Association, enjoyed the Literary Club, the Art Guild and served on the Preston Library Board for several years. As a nurse, she taught prenatal classes class-es for the hospital. As an active member mem-ber of the LDS Church, she loved teaching and served many years on the Oneida Stake Relief Society So-ciety Board. She taught teacher training classes, marriage classes, served as a Primary President, was director of the Spanish Span-ish Extraction Program, and served in the Extraction Extrac-tion Program for over 20 years. Connie loved oil painting paint-ing and won blue ribbons at the County Fair. She was a good homemaker and had the privilege of entertaining LDS General Authorities in her home while her husband was in the Stake Presidency. As children, we will miss mom's quick whit, unconditional love and her appreciation of life. "Mom, thank you for your testimony, wisdom and teachings. We love you." Connie was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her brother, Ronald D. Talbot. She is survived by her husband, Webster; their six children, chil-dren, one foster daughter and their spouses: Kristin Burrup, Diana (Duanne) Guinn, Saralee (Lance) Garner, Jon (Linda) Maughan, Jeffrey (Kim) Maughan, Peter (Shirley) Maughan, and Lena (Bob) Buck; her sister, Barbara (Donald) Benson; and brother, Frank Joseph Talbot, 31 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to all the medical care and assistance as-sistance Connie received. Services were held on Saturday, Feb. 16, in the Preston North Stake Center in Preston, Idaho. Interment will be in the Wellsville, Utah, Cemetery.
