Show Services Held Tues. For Victims Of Plane Accident v Friends and relatives here were grieved with the news of the death of a former well known resident Lt. Robert P. Burt, who lost his life in an airplane accident in West Virginia last week. Also in the same accident, which involved a B-29 crash in the mountainous moun-tainous area of West Virginia, was Mr. Burt's nephew, Cpl. John Harvey Har-vey Fearn, Jr., a son of the former Thelma Burt of Springville and John Harvey Fearn. Funeral services for the young men were conducted on Tuesday at noon for Cpl. Fearn and at 2 p.m. for Lt. Burt. Interment was in the Ogden and Payson city cemeteries, respectively. First Lt. Robert Parley Burt was born Oct. 20, 1921, in Springville, Spring-ville, a son of Parley B. and Eulelia Gudmundson Burt. After he was graduated from Springville high school he entered the U. S. Army air force in 1943 and was trained as a pilot. He had just received his wings when the war ended in 1945, after which he received his discharge. dis-charge. His training was taken mainly in Texas. Since then he had been a member of the air force reserve. On Oct. 10, 1941, he married Helen Nelson of Payson in the Salt Lake Temple, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In Ogden he was a member of the 18th LDS ward. Survivors include his widow and two sons, Robert N. and Steven Burt, Ogden; and a brother and two sisters, Dr. Byron Burt, Chicago; Chi-cago; Mrs. J. Harvey (Thelma) Fearn, Ogden; Mrs. Ann Stewart Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Armand (Merie) Thompson, Corpus Chris-ti, Chris-ti, Texas. Cpl. John Harvey Fearn, Jr., was born July 11, 1929, in Kem-merer, Kem-merer, Wyo., a son of John Harvey and Thelma Burt Fearn. He obtained ob-tained his early education in the elementary school in Rock Springs, Wyo., later attended Davis high school, Kaysville, for one year, and was graduated from Ogden high school.' He was studying pre-medical pre-medical courses at Weber college, Ogden. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In January, 1947, he enlisted in the U. He had been attached to the 35th communications squadron and stationed sta-tioned at Hamilton air force base, CI., and in New Jersey. In the air force reserve, he was a corporal in supply.
