Show Funeral Services Friday for Mapleton Woman Funeral services will be conducted conduc-ted on Friday for Mrs. Mary Alice Stone Gividen, 71, who followed her husband in death by ono month. Mrs. Gividen died Monday at 11 a.m. at the home of a son, J. Vance Gividen in Mapleton. She was bom April 14, 1881, in Tremble County, Ky., the daughter daugh-ter of James B. and Josephine Wright Stone. She was married to Joseph Gividen, Jan. 2, 1900 in Kentucky with the marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1949. A convert to the LDS Church, Mrs. Gividen came to Utah in 1904 and has resided in Mapleton for the past 34 years. Mr. Gividen died August 9, 1952. She is survived by a son, J. Vance Gividen, Mapleton; a daughter, daugh-ter, Mrs. Boyd (Melvina.) Johnson, Mapleton; an adopted son, Earl Gividen of Mapleton; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Ivan (Lila) Lucas, Spanish Fork ; a sister, Mrs. Lester (Lillian) Hales, Magna; two brothers, broth-ers, Oscar G. Stone of Washington ish Fork; two foster children, Mrs. Robert (Mary) Bright, Nevada and Mrs. John (Martha) Smith,1 Spanish Fork. Funeral services will be held in the Mapleton LDS ward chapel with Bishop Welby Warren officiating. offi-ciating. Friends may call at the Claudin Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday Fri-day at the home of her son, J. Vance Gividen from 10 a.m. to prior to the service.
