Show Ellsworth Not Guilty Says Jury "Not guilty," was the verdict of the jury in' the case ofthe state of mab against J. C. Ellsworth, formerly for-merly cf Payson', bud ufcw of Salt Lake City, on an alleged charge of nisnpplication of funds of the de-tanet de-tanet Payson Exchange Savings auk. The jury deliberted the case for uore than 12 hours. The case was ivea to the jury shortly after 3 :30 'clock Tuesday afternoon in Judge llias Hansen's court. The jury Brae back to the court room to ren-er ren-er its verdict after 2 o'clock Wed-estliy Wed-estliy morning. The charges against Mr. Ellsworth -ere. filed, after the Payson Ex-lange Ex-lange Savingg bank was closed by le state bank examiner. Charges led against him by a grand jury idietraent -were dismissed several lonths ago and were followed, by ic alleged charge of misaplication 1 fuads of the bank. M. B. Pope, district attorney, osecuted the case, while Attorney , P. Soul of Salt Lake City repre-ntcd repre-ntcd Mr. Ellsworth in the case. . |
