Show Sentinel B6 • WEDNESDAY, MARCH 3, 2010 Guardian of Your Community Nem Notices February 25, 2010 REQUEST FOR SEALED PROPOSALS CONSTRUCTION MANAGER / GENERAL CONTRACTOR BOARD OF EDUCATION OF NEBO SCHOOL DISTRICT PAYSON BUS COMPOUND ADDITION The Board of Education of Nebo School District (the "School District") is accepting Sealed Proposals from qualified Construction Manager / General Contractor companies ("Construction Manager") for the construction of an addition to the Nebo School District Payson Bus Compound located at 676 North 300 East, Payson, Utah, 84651 (the "Payson Bus Compound Addition"). The Payson Bus Compound Addition will consist of major site improvements, including the construction and installation of roadways and utilities, and the construction of a three (3) acre asphalt parking area with electrical plugins and lighting. In addition, the Payson Bus Compound Addition will include the construction of a 4,250 square foot building addition to the existing bus garage facility and associated remodeling to the existing building. The new building addition will consist of two bus maintenance bays, one bus wash bay, and a parts and tire storage area. The new building addition wiil be constructed out of concrete block and wood framing with a standing seam metal roof. Estimated construction cost is One Million and 00/100 Dollars ($1,000,000.00). The successful Construction Manager candidate will be'"at risk" and required to provide the School District with a final GMP amount for the project at the completion of eighty-five percent (85%) the construction documents by the Architect. The GMP will include a construction contingency amount which is mutually agreed to by the School District and the Construction Manager. In addition, prior to the commencement of the Construction Phase Work, at the option of the School District, the GMP may be converted into a Lump Sum Price. The School District reserves the right to cancel the contract during or at the conclusion of the Preconstruction Services. Upon such termination, the Construction Manager shall be compensated for Preconstruction Services performed in accordance with the contract up to the time of the contract's termination. The final buyout cost of the project shall not exceed the GMP including contingency. This will be a provision of the Construction Manager contract with the School District for this work. The Agreement form between the Owner and the successful Construction Manager is included in the Proposal Document package. The School District reserves the right to reject any or ail Proposals, or to waive any formality or technicality in any Proposal, in the best interests of the School District. DECA is an international association of high school and college students studying marketing, management and entrepreneurship in business, finance, hospitality and marketing sales and service.
