Show usiness A6 • WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 12, 2009 Guardian of Your Community Neius Primrose Retreat brings relaxation to Spanish Fork Chamber of Commerce Business Here, Business Now \ i" i i fvtmer While traveling the world on various business trips, Susan Hayes found that "there was no better way to relieve stress after a long flight than to relax in a spa." Each country had its own unique version of a spa and a source for relaxation and various treatments. After several years of traveling, Hayes began finding what works and doesn't work. Her hobby eventually turned into a passion. Coming from Florida, Hayes began researching the culture, demographics and lifestyles of the residents of Utah County. She saw a common thread such as a strong focus on family, stay-at-home moms, and individuals working two or more jobs to make ends meet. Hayes found that individuals had less time to themselves for relaxation in order to relieve stress and rejuvenate themselves. Hayes purchased a building which had previously been used as a skating rink. After extensive remodeling Hayes can proudly say that it is "...the largest spa retreat in the state of Utah." From cosmetics to waxing services. Primrose Retreat offers a variety of facial treatments, massages, and maternity treatments in addition to hair designs, Dana Robinson / The Sentinel CHAMBER MIXER: On Wednesday, Aug. 5 over 30 business men and women enjoyed lunch and a networking opportunity at the Spanish Fork/Salem area Chamber of Commerce monthly mixer, hosted by The Pizza Factory. Armed with that knowledge and her experiences, Hayes was ".. .determined to give the clients what they need, to provide incredible service, and do what (she) has to do to pamper (her) clients." She added on a luncheon room to serve as a bistro, babycake couture cupcakery, a spoiled rotten kid's room, a theatre stage, and she recently added a new wedding reception center. Primrose Retreat can help relieve stress from all those wedding plans. Jacque Oriolt, a Master Aesthetician said the clients are excited by the variety of services available, and become loyal. Hayes credits her success to marketing, getting involved with local charity and community events, and trying different types of services. In return, she feels she has received incredible support from the city and the community.
