Show FIESTA DAYS 2007 Fiesta Days 2007 Flag Retirement Ceremony Wednesday, My 18, 7 p.m. Outdoor Arena at the Fairgrounds A favorite annual tradition to honor and respect our country. The Utah National Guard along with the American Legion and local Boy Scout Troops, will properly retire Macey's 50'x30' .flag. A 21-gun salute, the national anthem, fly over by Apache helicopters and speakers will highlight the program. Congress has authorized flags worn beyond repair to be destroyed by. fire in a dignified manner, showing respect and reverence. Any personal flags you may have can be dropped off at the City Office or the National Guard office in Spanish Fork. Scout troops, gather your old flags to be retired, and bring them one half hour prior to the ceremony. Scouts, please be in full uniform to participate.
