Show BBESLEY FUNERAL Six Sons of Well-Known Musician Lay Body to Rest. Tho funeral services of the lale Prof. Ebenezer Beesley, held at Assembly hall Sunday at 12:15 o'clock, wore well attended and impressive. Tho speakers were A. "W. Carlson. Nephl L. Morris, Bishop Emery of thc sixteenth ward, and President Joseph Jo-seph V. Smith. Thc mu3lc was a leading feature of the exercises on account of thc deceased having hav-ing long been prominent as a musician and a composer of sacred music, and most of thc musc wns of his creation. The first number was an anthem "Mount Zion." sang by the Temple choir "Kind "Words Aro Swcot Tones of tho Heart," a Sunday school song, was rendered ren-dered as a solo and quartette bv Mrs. Nclllo Druco Pugaley. assisted b; Mrs. Emma Ruma-iy Morris. Thomas Ashworth and John Robinson. An Instrumental number was given by a string quartette, consisting of Messrs. YVclhe. Mldgley, Cavahau and Olson. A trio of ladles, Miss Lottie Owen, Miss "TCmlly Larstn and Miss Emma Olson, sang "Your Rosebud In Heaven." "Whut Voice Salutes?" was aung by Mrs. Lizzie Thomas Edward and thc Temple choir. A band of about forty members of the Musicians" union, to which the deceased belonged, headed tho procession In thc street and plnyid tho "Dead March.-' Members of the old Nauvoo Legion Martini Mar-tini band wero present and went in a body to thc cemetery. A the grave "R?st for the Weary Soul" wna sung by rv quartftte consisting of Mrs. Llzzlo Thomas Edward. Mrs. Agnes Olson Thomas. Maronl J. Thomas and Samuel WJntcr. Thorc wer many and eppropriate floral offerings. The Interment was at tho City cemetery. Thc pall-bcarcrs were six Bona of tho deceased Ebenezer. Jr.. Fred Adt-lbert. Lorenzo.
