Financial bills, however, must first pass the deputies. The senate may become a high court of justice to try the president of the republic re-public or his ministers, or any pereons accused of conspiracy against the tate. The first senate shall be electtd one menth before the dissolution of the assembly, and commence its duties on the day the assembly designates. During action on the bill, Kioul Duval, in behalf of the Bonapartigis, Tainly attempted by liberal amendment amend-ment to detach the left from the two centres, but all such motions were rejected re-jected by an overwhelming majority.
