UDELL BIRCH, nee Billie Jean Brisbin, whose mar- I riage took place Friday, May 25 at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Brisbin. A reception complimented the newly- weds at the Ballard ward chapel. In a beautiful home wedding ceremony at the W. L. Brisbin residence res-idence Friday, May 25, vows were exchanged by Miss Billie Jean Brisbin and Udell Birch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max E. Birch of Utahn. The .double-ring ceremony was preformed at 7:30 p.m. by Ned Gines, member of the Ballard LDS Ward bishopric- Background for the wedding was provided by huge arrangements of yellow and salmon colored gladioli. The bride was lovely in a white taffeta ballerina length dress, de-. signed with a full-gathered skirt and fitted bodice with scoop neckline. neck-line. A bow at the waistline in the back further added to the dress style. She carried a bridal bouquet of carnations and pink rosebuds. Bridesmaids were Miss Judy Brisbin, sister of the bride, who wore a red ballerina formal of net over taffeta, and Miss Colleen Birch, who chose a taffeta and net ballerina formal in a deep peach shade. Both had white carnation corsages. Best man duties were assumed by Don Birch, brother of the groom. The bride's mother was attired in a turquoise linen sheath with matching box jacket, accented with pink accessories, and mother of the groom, wore a blue and white print crepe dress with navy blue duster. Both had pink and white . carnations corsages. Following the wedding ceremony a reception at the Ballard Ward chapel complimented the justweds. Miss Celia Kay Jenkins was in charge of the guest book and attending at-tending the gift room were Miss Maxine Birch and Miss Carina White. Serving was under the direction of Mrs. Jesse Hullinger and Mrs. Marvin Kettle, assisted by the following fol-lowing girls: Miss Colleen Squire, Miss Faye Hullinger, Miss Jean Allred, Miss Mary Hullinger and Miss Clara Stolla. A beautiful three-tiered white wedding cake centered the table and was decorated with lillies of the valley and pink rosebuds and topped with a minature bride and groom under a canopy. With Mr. Gines as emcee the following program was announced: vocal solo, Exie Lynn Esauk; saxophone sax-ophone solo, Bonnie Daniels, accompanied ac-companied by Rose Mary Daniels; reading, Lonnie Kay Winn; accordian ac-cordian solo, Lorraine Long; Hula dance, Diane Labrum; reading, Vionne Parrish; dance number, Judy Brisbin and Jimmy Curry; vocal duet, laine Angus and Karen Gines; vocal duet, Mrs. Sheldon Fitzgerald and Bennie Schmiett, i accompanied by Mrs. Schmiett- Dancing was enjoyed to Reese Timothy's orchestra. The newlyweds will make their home in Wendover, Utah, where Mr. Birch is employed by a construction con-struction company. |
