Show SOCIETY ANNOUNCES MARRIAGE Announcement is made tliis week of the marriage of Lola Mae Waddup, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Waddup, of Milford, to Don Penfield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Penfield, formerly of Roosevelt. The ceremony was performed. May 14, at the home of the bride's parents, with Rev. Chas. Ray, pastor of the Roosevelt Baptist Bap-tist church, officiating. Cal Wilkins Wil-kins stood as best man. The new Mr. and Mrs. Penfield ore both students at the University Univer-sity of Utah. JUNIOR CULTURE CLUB Mrs. Jule Kolb and Mrs. Harry Har-ry Leardahl entertained members mem-bers of the Junior Culture club at a delightfully served dessert luncheon at the home of Mrs. Elmer Eldredge on May 23. Covers Cov-ers were marked for Mrs. Beth Broden, Mrs. Ned Bellon, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. ' Floyd Labrum, Mrs. Bennie Schmiett and Mrs. Elmer Eldredge. The evening concluded with n short business meeting. ENGAGEMENTS ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Hoopes, of Whitcrocks, announce the engagement en-gagement of their daughter, Vcl-da. Vcl-da. to Eldon- F. Anderton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eldon W. Anderton, An-derton, of Neola. Miss Hoopes is a graduate of Alterra high school, class of 194G. Mr. Anderton was recently discharged dis-charged after three and a half years of service with the U. S. Army and is at present farming near Whiterocks. A definite date for the wedding wed-ding has not been set, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Elmer, of Neola, announce the forth coming marriage of their daughter, La-Rene, La-Rene, to Wayne Bastian, son of Mr, and Mrs. Evan Bastian, of Neola. Miss Elmer graduated last spring from Roosevelt high school and since that time has been employed at the J. C. Penny Pen-ny store in Roosevelt. Mr. Bastian Bas-tian is also a graduate of the Roosevelt high . school and has been a student at the USAC as Logan. The young couple plan a June wedding in the LDS temple in Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Larsen, of Arcadia, announce the engagement engage-ment of their daughter. June, to Myron Mower, son of Mrs. Silas Mower, of Roosevelt. Miss Larsen is a graduate of the Roosevelt high school and is at present working at the J. C. Penney store in Roosevelt. Mr. Mower is a graduate of the Roosevelt high school and is now working for the Uintah Farmers Union Co-op station in Roosevelt. , No definite date has been set for the wedding.
