Show j Springville Republicans. From Tuesday's Daily. j The Republicans in Springville held j a caucus last night for the election of ! delegates to the county convention. Thirteen delegates and four alternates were elected. The meeting was apparently ap-parently mostly composed of Democrats, Demo-crats, and many of the men nominated declined, because they were not in sympathy with the Republican party. Ihe chairman, Mr. Don Johnson, had such a struggle to get the delegates that he suggested to the meeting that before thev could make nominations for city officers, as they had intended, they had better have another rally and get some more to join the party. It had been proposed to fuse all parties for the city election, but the Democrats, so he stated, had refuse t join, arid as a consequence they would have to get up a ticket themselves. He invited all to attend the meeting on Thursday evening, and if they had not joined the party but would promise to vote the ticket, then they should have a chance to help to make the selection of the candidates for city officers.
