Show Give The Dispatch a trial and see how you like it. The Sun Foundry has turned out a fine lot of columns. They are fourteen feet long, and will weigh about 800 pounds each. They are intended for a store at Pleasant Grove. This foundry is beginning to assume its wonted bustle, bus-tle, more men having been set to work the past few days TnE laying of rock for the founda-tion founda-tion of the Central building commenced com-menced Thursday, and the north wall; has been raised about three feet. Mr Liddiard will have a lare force of men at work on it this coming week, and soon we will see the building spring as if by magic. Ins Fourth Ward Glee Club, consisting con-sisting of twenty-five voices, goes to Salt Lake on Monday to compete for the $200 prize. The boys have worked hard under Prof. Giles, and stand a good chance of carrying off the prize and accompanying honors. The piece to be sang is Evan Stephens' 'Invocation 'Invoca-tion to Harmony." Mu. B. A. Hills, registration officer of Provo precinct, informs us that 195 new names have been added to the registration list this year. Last year's registration showed 877 names. Of this number 40 has been stricken off, leaving 837. This balance, with the 195 new names added this year, will swell the total registration for t he August election to 1,032. Mr. Hills informs us that after to-day he w'll be in hisofiice in the Courthouse, where persons, who have failed to have their names recorded, can call and attend to this important duty. Hemember that after June 6th you will not be able to register. |
