Show Life-Long Resident Dies Suddenly I William B. Gardner, 76, died sud-. sud-. denly at his home at 8:40 a. m. Monday Mon-day from a heart attack. He arose as usual and made the fire in the , kitchen and in a short time his wife arose and upon entering the . room found her husband lying on . the floor by the range. She sum- jmoned help from the neighbors and ' a physician was called but Mr. Gard-' Gard-' ner expired in a few moments. j William Beardsworth Gardner : j was born June 10, 1857, in American : j Fork, son of James and Jane Threl-' Threl-' fall Gardner. He was born, reared . : j and lived his entire married life on ' j the same lot in this city on which 1 1 the Gardner residence now stands. MHe followed the occupation of farm-- farm-- j ing for years. At the time of his death he was j city poundkeeper having been reap- ! pointed to this office this month for . another term. He has served in this . capacity for a number of years. Mr. Gardner was -a true Latter-r Latter-r day Saint, and was highpriest at the . time of his death, and he followed i the teachings of the Gospel earnestly earnest-ly and faithfully. He was a kind , neighbor and friend and willing at Jail times to help others. 1 1 He married Francis B. Rondeau, a ' j native of England, on June 5, 1907, Jin the Salt Lake temple. ; Surviving are his wife, a sister, Mi. Ellen Proctor, and a brother, ' James T. Gardner, -all of this city. Funeral services will be held today to-day (Friday) commencing at 2 p. m. in the First ward chapel. ' Friends may call at the residence after 10 a. m. this morning. Interment Inter-ment will be made in the American Fork cemetery. |
