Show Mr. and Mrs. Blake T. Fordham to be honored at Golden Anniversary open house Mr. and Mrs. Blake T. Fordham, Pleasant Grove, will be honored by their family on their 50th Wedding Anniversary, Dec. 22. An open house will be held that day at the Timpanogos Stake Center, 800 N. 100 West, Pleasant Grove, from 3 to 7 p.m. All friends and relatives are invited in-vited to share this special occasion with them. They request no gifts. The Fordhams were married on Dec. 11, 1934 in the Manti LDS Temple. In their early married life they lived in Grover, Wayne County, and have spent the last 36 years in Pleasant Grove. As a young man, Mr. Fordham attended schools in Utah and Salt Lake Counties. He worked for 30 years at Geneva Steel and has enjoyed working with the youth. He has been a great supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, receiving the Second Miler Award, On My Honor and the Silver Beaver Award. He is the founder and first president of Utah Baseball for Boys Association. Mrs. Fordham, the former Fay Covington, attended schools in Wayne County, where she was active in the music programs. She shared her talent of piano playing with others for many years. She has a great love for flowers which is evident by their beautiful yard. She also enjoys needlework and has crocheted many priceless items for her children and grandchildren. Together they have spent many hours of enjoyment as avid rock hounds. They have made some beautiful jewelry for themselves and their family. Both have long been active in the LDS Church and have held many positions on the ward and stake levels. They are the parents of eight children: Larry Fordham, Orem; Gerry Fordham, Boise, Idaho; Don Fordham, Madison, Indiana; Beverly Jarvis, American Fork; Steve Fordham, Pleasant Grove; Connie Ormond, American Fork; Wendy Mills, American P'ork; Todd Fordham, Pleasant Grove.
