Show Funeral Rites Held Last Thursday for Lewis E. Walker Funeral services were held Monday, Mon-day, March 17, for Willard Lawrence Lawr-ence Harris, 67. who died at an American Fork Hospital last Friday Fri-day of a heart ailment. Bishop Kenneth H. Gillman was in charge. Prayer at the Mortuary Mortu-ary was given by Shirley Richards. Invocation was given by Ert-mann Ert-mann Christensen. Speakers were Stanley Harris, Bishop Leon Walker Walk-er and remarks by Kenneth Gill-man. Gill-man. A biographical sketch was given by a grandniece, Jean Aiken. Musical numbers were a vocal duet by Ellen Peterson and Audrey Hooley and a vocal trio Inez Marchbanks, Lyle dinger and Gen-iel Gen-iel Pino. Benediction was pronounced by Arthur Johnson and the grave in the Orem City Cemetery was dedicated dedi-cated by Nyle T. Harris. Pallbearers were Millard Williams, Frank Williams, Lamar Green, Earl Miller, Arch Flinton and Marvin Mar-vin Flinton. Flowers were cared for and arranged by the Lindon Second Ward Relief Society. Mr. Harris was born Oct. 26, 1890 in Pleasant Grove, the son cf Albert and Sarah Jane Herbst Harris. He attended schools in Pleasant Grove and the Brigham Young University. He was a member mem-ber of the LDS Church, holding the office of Seventy. Mr. Harris married Alta Jane Davies March 17, 1912, at Shelton, Ida., their marriage was later solemnized sol-emnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He spent his early married life in Idaho, fanning and in 1924 moved back to Pleasant Grove where he was a dairy farmer. He is survived by his wife of Lindon and four daughters and two sans, Mrs. Shirley (Gladys) Richards, Rich-ards, Moses Lake, Washington; Mrs. Don (Dorothy) Kerr, Idaho Falls, Ida.; Mrs. Harold (Ladeen) Peterson, Orem; Mrs. Robert (Beverly) (Bev-erly) Zabriski, Salt Lake City; Le-land Le-land and Gail Harris of Lindon; 20 grandchildren, two great-grand children, four brothers, -and two sisters, sis-ters, Clarence, Orem; Leonard, Theron and Roy Harris, all of Lindon; Mrs. Alice Devey, Alpine and Mrs. Lauretta Humphries, Richfield, Ida. |
