Show Youth Dies Following Operation Myron F. West died at 8:15 p. m. Wednesday, July 5th, in the L. D. S. hospital following an operation for appendicitis. He was bom in Pleasant Pleas-ant Grove, Utah, March 9, 1902. He attended the local school graduating from the Pleasant Grove High school in 1920. He attended the Brigham Young university taking part in many of the student body activities. He graduated with honors June 1, 1927. He served as an L. D. S. missionary in the Mexican mission acting most of the time as secretary to the late President Rey L. Pratt. After graduating from the B. Y. U. he attended the University of New York. It was there he met and married Miss Clara Pearson of Brig- ham City, Utah. After spending two years there he was compelled to return re-turn on account of ill health from which he never fully recovered. His splendid spiritual and optimistic at- Ititude in all his affliction endeared 'him to everyone. I Besides his wife he is survived by 'his mother, Mrs. Eleanor West, of Pleasant Grove, three sisters, Mrs. W. R. Halliday, American Fork; Mrs. John S. Green, Mills, and Mrs. W. Gunnar Rasmusen of Logan, and two brothers, Howard West of Salt Lake City, and Junius A. West of ! American Fork. Funeral services will be held in :he Timpanogos stake tabernacle at j Pleasant Grove, Saturday, July 8th, 1 at 2 p. m. i |
