Show - ! (obituaries) Walton Foulger AM. FORK--Walton Evans Foulger, 72, died July 1, 1983 at his residence in American Fork. He was born Oct. 22, 1910 in Garland, Utah, a son of David Burton and Esther Maude Evans Foulger. He married Lucy Joanna Cragun on May 29, 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Oct. 9, 1980. He married Lucy Lee on Feb. 6, 1981 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a member of the American Fork 5th LDS Ward and a member of the High Priest's Quorum. He was a graduate of Weber State College and Brigham Young University and also taught at Weber State. Active in community affairs, he was a member and past president of the American Fork Lions Club and was active in the Civic Chorus. He was past president of the Intermountain Professional Photographers Photogr-aphers Association. He was retired from U.S. Steel. Surviving are his wife of American Fork; three sons and two daughters, David C. Foulger and Michael C. Foulger, both of Salt Lake City; John C. Foulger of Lehi; Mrs. Alice Halverstadt of Alpine and Mrs. Kate Lawrence of tampa, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; a brother and sister, Kenneth Foulger of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Barbara Curtis of Honeyville. Funeral was Tuesday in the American Fork 5th Ward. Burial was in the Lehi City Cemetery. Thomas King ' PL. GROVE- Thomas King, 96, died July 1, 1983 in Pleasant Grove. He was born March 25, 1887 in Wishford, England, a son of William George and Matilda Truebridge King. He married Oris Hatch on July 17, 1922 in Vernal. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Nov. 17, 1942. He was a member of the LDS Church living in the Pleasant Grove 23rd Ward. He had been a sheepman and had worked at the Pleasant Grove Canning Company Com-pany and at U.S. Steel Geneva Works. He was a veteran of World War I. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Alta Mae) Wood and Mrs. Chris (Marilyn) Hreinsen, both of Pleasant Grove; 11 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren. Funeral services were Tuesday in the Olpin Family Mortuary. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery. Janelee Schumway Jane Lee Schumway, 61, died Tuesday, June 28, 1983 in a Salt Lake City hospital. She was born Aug. 6, 1921 in Mapleton to John Arnold and Ellen McKell Lee. She married Arlo B. Schumway on April 3, 1940 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was educated in Springville schools and active in the LDS Church, holding many positions. She was an employee at the Utah State Hospital in Provo for 17 years. Survivors include her husband of American Fork; two boys and three girls, Gary L. Lee and Mrs. Brian (Jana) Park, both of Orem; Mrs. Calvin (Dianne) Wimmer, American Fork; Dale A. Lee, Highland; Mrs. Jim (Jill) Mills, Woods Cross; 13 grandchildren; grandchild-ren; step-mother, Mrs. Margaret Lee of Bountiful; one brother and five sisters, John A. Lee, Bountiful; Mrs. Emma Cressal, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Lucille Hanks, Salem; Mrs. Grace Bate, Springville; Spring-ville; Mrs. Ruth Jones and Mrs. Harriett Burt, both of Mapleton. She was preceded in death by one brother, Ted Lee. Funeral was Friday. Burial was in the American Fork Cemetery. Retta May Robinson LEHI Retta May Robinson Stokes, 57, died after a long illness on June 24th, 1983, at her home in Rathdrum, ' Idaho. She was born in Lehi February 13, 1926, to Raymond G. and ' Erma Crookston Robinson. She married Ronald M. Stokes, August 3, 1943. She is survived by three sons and three daughters: Ellen Anderson, Anchorage, Alaska; John Stokes, Oregon; Mrs. Lorraine Griffin, Saint Maries, Idaho; Roy Lee Stokes with the U.S. Air Force; Mrs. Maurine Brown, Post Falls, Idaho; Glen Stokes, Rathdrum, Idaho and eight grandchildren; two brothers, Howard L. Robinson, Lehi; and Ray J. . Robinson of Coeur D Alene, Idaho. Funeral services and burial were held Wednesday, June 29, at Rathdrum, Idaho. Elizabeth Mote Elizabeth Mote, 74, 995 N. 100 W., Pleasant Grove, died June 17, 1983 in Salt Lake City. She was born June 19, 1909 in Pueblo, Colo., a daughter of John and Mary Reece. She married Loring Mote. He died in July 1978.- She was a member of the Episcopal Church. She worked for a number of years as a secretary in the office of Dr. Kartchner in Provo. At the time of her death she was business manager for Alpine Valley Care Center in Pleasant Grove. She loved gardening and handiwork. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services were conducted Thursday, in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Olpin Mortuary of Pleasant Grove. |
