C. 4 4 Sanitary Milk The requirements necessary for the practical production of a clean, sanitary sani-tary milk supply are much simpler than Is generally supposed. In brief they consist of tho following: a healthy cow, dry handed milking, an interested milker, a hooded milking pall, boiled of otherwise sterilized containers, con-tainers, efficient refrigeration, and proper pasteurization. TheBo seven things are absolutely essential, and the omission of any one, under ordinary ordin-ary conditions is absolutely ruinous to the production of a high-grade pro-druct. pro-druct. Buy only the best milk obtainable. It is cheapest In the long run. Buy only bottled milk. Dipped milk Is often dirty and may spread disease. dis-ease. Keep the refrigorator clean and sweet by means of proper drainage and frequent washing with scalding water and salsoda, since milk quickly absorbs uppleasant adors and becomes less palatable.
