Show Ambitious Youths of Ogden to Report at Alhambra Tomorrow This is tho last opportunity the Standard-Examiner has of informing the young people of our city, that those who wish to take part in "A Romance Ro-mance of Ogden," the local moving picture, to be made in our city by the Standard-Examiner, beginning May 3, will have to report at the Alhambra theatre Monday, May 3. at 9 a. m., for Instructions, and the special inducement induce-ment offered by the Standard-Examiner to thoso who take part, in the way of helping them secure a position by lending them the film to submit to the big companies, has caused a great deal of excitement among the young people. k "A Romance ot Ogden," is to be a pretentious film, and all Ogden is looking look-ing forward to It. Hundreds of young men and women are interested in the movies. Many of them would like to appear In moving pictures, but they do not know how to go about it. Truly fabulous salaries are earned by many in photoplay work, which after all is nothing more or less than a business like anything else. If an amateur applies ap-plies to a moving picture company for a position,- never having any experience, experi-ence, it certainly is not going to give him the same attention, as the person who can say; "I have had some experience, ex-perience, and you will find me not altogether al-together green." "Kindly run this picture of me in your projecting room; that, will show you my work." The Standard-Examiner is making "A Romance of Ogden" to promote interest in-terest and assist the young people along these lines, and give them an opportunity gratis to try their hand at something that any amount of time, money and energy might not accomplish accomp-lish for thorn otherwise. The picture when completed will be shown at the Alhambra theatre May 26 to 29th. Any number of young men, women and children have decided to enter the picture. The fact that the film will be loaned to thoso who take part to help them In securing positions, is attracting any number of young people in our city, who under any other conditions would not even entertain the idea of trying their hand at picturo work. Tho Standard-Examiner lays particular partic-ular stress on the fact that every effort ef-fort will bo made to make this pic-1 ture an artistic success, and if there is anyone In our community, who thinks he or she would like to try the work, but feels timid about making the attempt, at-tempt, assurance is given that such painstaking efforts will be made in filming "A Romance of Ogdon," that they Bhould pluck up enough courage to come right along, and through this opportunity, which mny never come to them again, possibly realize what may bo laying tho corner stone of their whole financial future.
