"I never had an opportunity to bo a member of a union," Mrs. Berger said yesterday, "but there is ono union that I am solug to Join as soon as It Is organized. A housewives' union would be a good means to this end. It would do for a starter, anyhow. "Why shouldn't there bo a minimum mini-mum 6calo of allowance from the husband to the wife. I think It should be at least half of all he earns. For if the woman did not take full charge of the home, the man could ouly spend half tho time he does now making money. So, you see, one half of his wages really belong to ; the w ife, as his partner. "Women do not receive the same r wages as men, simply because thoy have not foueht to be recognized.
